Microsoft Dogs 1.0: A Microsoft Campus Scavenger Hunt Collectable

October 28, 2009. Redmond, Washington. Microsoft Campus, Building 35. A slew of slate tiles the entrance to Building 35. Each tile sports the name of a Microsoft product release, along with the version and ship date.  Microsoft Access, Microsoft Word, Windows NT… all our familiar names.  And then we have:

Microsoft Dogs?  So my good friend BR in Building 35 doesn’t flinch when asked and says nonplussed¹, “Oh yeah, totally. Don’t you remember the days when we wanted to get into multimedia releases? Yup. We shipped a bunch of stuff, including Microsoft Dogs.”

1. Nonplussed is the strangest word which means both completely surprised and completely unsurprised. In this usage above, it means unsurprised.
