Today New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer are unveiling a comprehensive technology partnership to modernize the City’s IT infrastructure, anchored by an investment in cloud computing. This move is expected to save the City more than $50 million in coming years. This includes a first-of-its-kind, comprehensive city-wide agreement for productivity software that replaces several dozen separate agreements with City agencies.
This agreement -- part of the City’s Efficiency Agenda -- will consolidate the City’s IT environment, generate millions in savings for the City, and optimize infrastructure across the City.
