Your mission will be to help us define how the convergence of personal computing, online services, telephony and devices can help businesses grow their brand recognition and customer base..
Direct results expected from this role would be:
§ Become a trusted advisor to Fortune 500 companies in NYC, by delivering strategic technical solutions that demonstrate the significant business value on time and on budget
§ Technical sales and proposal generation - responsible for identifying, driving, and closing user experience opportunities in the NYC metro region with the support of our Business Development Executive team
§ Determine the effort involved and provide input into scheduling
§ Drive the test-driven architecture, development & delivery of a device based applications
§ Develop custom application oriented software using utility computing and storage
§ Design for customers through detailed technical specifications combined with usage scenarios in conjunction with a talented team of software developers
The ideal candidate will have:
§ Solid understanding and passion for building outstanding device based solutions and an eye for spotting emerging trends in consumer oriented technology
§ Proven record of growing new businesses and building relationships with technical decision makers
§ History of creating product designs that are user scenario driven and meet business goals. Hyperlink to portfolio would be preferred
§ Experienced with developing quality user experience and interactive design through Visual Studio and Expression Studio tools. WPF, Silverlight or HTML5 experience a big plus.
§ Minimum of 4 years of experience in Enterprise software consulting or product engineering
§ Strong knowledge of Microsoft .NET design and development with proven track record of full life cycle solution delivery
§ Experienced with programming with media-intensive components such as video, audio, podcasts and other rich media
§ Demonstrated problem solving and debugging skills
§ Results driven; strong analytical skills with exceptional verbal and written communication.
§ Strong Information Architecture experience and visual design skills
§ Experience in consumer facing industries is a plus.
§ Experience in advertising or with a high profile design agency would be a big plus.
§ Experience with building for consumer oriented audiences is critical
§ Passion for Windows 8, HTML5 and tablet based development. Experience designing/maintaining intranet sites using SharePoint
§ Passion for media, retail and entertainment products is a bonus
§ BS/BA degree or Advanced Design degree, or equivalent experience preferred.
