Windows 8’s new BEWARE OF DOG Security Model

by asli 4. October 2011 08:20

Over the weekend, I had the opportunity to present at the CodeCamp NYC event.  As a non-Microsoft employee, I was free to demo an around the World Tour of Windows 8. Naturally, one of the first things I decided to show was the elusive BOD security model.  Even the most ferocious Chihuahua can provide a shield against unwanted intruders into your personal space.  See the video to learn the mysteries of gesture based security.

One caveat, it likely isn’t a good idea to unlock your machine on your daily work commute, as the unlock gestures are fairly easy to spot. And probably not a good idea to try this at home, especially on your own dog.
